Jenna: Plans Changed

All week we planned on leaving Friday. Well, that didn’t quite happen. It seems like we leave the day after we are supposed to every year. No matter how prepared we think we are, there are always those last minute details that take more time than expected.

I’ve been packed and ready for a couple of days but there’s so much more to do than just pack. My parents have way more to do than I, so I just take orders and try to help them however I can. So do my little sisters, Taylor and Callie, who have been rockstars the past few days.

It’s a little crazy to not only have to prepare stuff to leave (load equipment, pack the trailer house) but also prepare stuff to be left (mow the yard, clean the house). Then there’s the goodbyes that need to be said, which are never easy.

Life at the Z house gets a little hectic but everything somehow manages to get done. We’ll be out of here tomorrow morning. It’s 1:45 a.m. now…6 o’clock is going to come fast. Wish us luck on the road!
