Steph: Scrub-a-dub

Seeing the other coorespondents still able to be in the field has made me very jealous this last week. The harvest here at home is predicted to begin in the next couple days but not if Mother Nature has anything to do with it. There is also rain predicted which would be okay too I guess. I don’t think there is any equipment left on the farm to wash anyway. We have also been preparing our other combine for it’s upcoming glory in the field.

I was able to sneak away this past weekend to Thief River Falls, Minn., to spend time with some friends. There was a two-day PBR rodeo going on along with a fair so there was no shortage of entertainment for us. I never realized how short I was till I got clotheslined by a couple holding hands while walking around at the fair. That was an experience.

Harvest Tip: Having clean equipment is eye catching. It takes a long time sometimes but if you have two kids who’ll do it for you (like my Dad), you’re golden!
