Jada: Hauling with Oak of Hoffman Harvesting

What does it take to unload a truck at the elevator? Oak shows us the steps. He untarps his truck and pulls onto the scale. The elevator weighs the truck and tests the wheat- to determine if there is any dock on the grain ticket. This could include too much moisture or foreign materials and if the test weight is low. The truck then heads to the pit to dump then heads back to the scale to weigh in again and get the grain ticket. Why does the truck weigh in twice? The second weight is deleted from the first to help determine the actual load weight. It’s time to rush back to the field!

Fun fact:  All our trucks have auto shift which make it easy for anyone to drive our trucks. It’s like driving a really long vehicle.
