Jada: HHI photos of our last day in Kiowa, KS

Today, we tested and tested and tested some more and it was a no go! The wheat was just too wet to cut- it hung in at 16% moisture for the day. Since the elevator wants the wheat to be under 15% we struck out for the day. To bide time while waiting between testing, the equipment was serviced and more maintenance work was done. It seems like there is always something to be done with the equipment.

There are chances of rain forecasted, making us wonder if we’ll even be in the field tomorrow. The sky is pretty blue in the Goodland/ Kanarado area. Rain wouldn’t be a surprise.

In the meantime, here are some photos of our last day in Kiowa, KS. I was unable to post them because of our quick move from Kiowa to Pratt.
