24 Aug Emma: Brad’s Out for a Visit

A good friend of ours from Illinois – who is affiliated with the ‘Gathering of the Green’ – came out visit us. Brad has been out to visit us every summer for about five years. Like many who come to visit us, he takes his vacation time for a week in the wheat fields, and experiences harvest.

We’re always glad to have visitors, but this year Brad’s visit was a bit odd because we weren’t cutting wheat. He came to see us right as we finished up in Gregory, S.D., and were on our way to Sioux Falls. He did enjoy the Sioux Empire Fair with us. We were very glad to have him, he has such a great sense of humor and we love it when he visits.

This was taken at a great restaurant in Gregory, called the Ranch House. Mona is a great cook, and we always look forward to coming back to eat here. (L to R) Dan, Brad, Joel, Thad, and me.
