Steph: When it rains…a lot

I’m sure it comes as no surprise when I say rain has stopped all action for Osowski Ag. It started Tuesday night and has continued on throughout the week, even though the weather man said it was supposed to be smooth sailing from Thursday night on. Waking up to rain Friday morning was not as comforting at it normally is. Normally when you wake up to rain, it’s the biggest relief because you know you can roll over and sleep in. It doesn’t have the same allure when it’s happened for the third day in a row. We were all getting to that point where everything was running smoothly. Getting in our groove. You knew you were tired but you just powered through it. Now we are all restless and anticipating being back in the field again.

There are only so many things to be done for entertainment around Helena, USA and after all the years of coming here, we have a “been there, done that” sort of attitude. We have been to Enid 2 times for parts and grocery runs and a pit stop to chit chat with the Harvest Support boys. We even skipped over to Stillwater for an afternoon to mix things up. We’ve welded beams onto our combine trailer where we found some weak spots and changed the battery in our service truck. Now we just have to keep our fingers crossed and hope the clouds steer clear for awhile!
