Z Crew: A Week Off

Jordan, MT- Hey folks, remember us? It’s been a while! Yesterday we made it to Jordan, Montana on our second trip. It’s always fun at this stop, because it feels like home. That’s probably because we’ve been coming here for 25 years. Jamie, Jenna, and Taylor even went to school here while we were in Jordan. Anyways, I should probably explain what’s been going on.

We headed up to Montana with the first trip on Monday, July 9. We go through a town in Wyoming where some of our very close friends live. These friends used to live in Jordan, so we’d normally get to see them when we’d get there. However, they moved to Lusk, Wyoming so that meant we wouldn’t get to see them unless we stopped for a brief visit as we were traveling through. Taylor and I decided that we wanted to spend more time with them. We stayed with our friends while Mom and Dad continued on to Montana with the first trip, and then when Mom and Dad were traveling back through with their second trip, they picked us up before continuing on to Jordan.

Whew, does that even make sense?

Anyways, we had a lot of fun with the Graham’s! We went fishing, saw a movie, helped them with their lambs, and played kickball almost every night with the neighborhood kids.  It was almost like a look inside to what life is like for a “normal” kid at home in the summer. It was fun, but I’m not sure I’d trade that for summers spent on the road. All in all, it was a great time!

We hope to be in the field tomorrow afternoon.
