Kimberly: The snow is coming

Mr. Winter is about to show his face here in North Dakota. It’s been in the ’50s the past few days, which has been wonderful, but that’s about to change. I know it’s the end of November, and I should be ready for the snow and cold, but that first week is a hard adjustment, especially when the weather has been nice, and it is currently raining. We have been getting rain for about 12 hours now, and tonight we are possibly going to get 4-8 inches of snow and strong winds. Our temperatures will drop to the single digits.  This is the part I dislike. It teases you with warm weather for a month and then, bam, it’s freezing.

Mychal and one employee, Josh, headed to Grand Island, Nebraska, this week to pick up two of our new combines from the factory and haul them to the dealership in Minot, North Dakota.

For the first time in a long time, we didn’t have to fight the snow or cold weather to get everything washed up and put away. We still have a few trucks doing some hauling for the winter, but, other than that, everything is packed away in the shed or lined up in the yard.
