01 Jun Emma: Abby Joins the Misener Crew for a While
She’s back in action! My friend Abby came to help us out for about ten days. She is taking a break from her job on the far northern edge of Alaska to drive the big green machines again.
Abby first came on harvest is 2008 and has been back every year since. It just goes to show you that you don’t have to grow up in the combine to have running it in your blood. We love having her around, and it gives us another person to pick on! She never fails to get up and do any job. She doesn’t get intimidated easily.

Welcome back Abby, we’re glad you’re here to help out.
Be safe and God bless!

Posted at 17:52h, 01 JuneGood help is always welcome. Emma there are folks around the southern half of kansas by name of Misener. At one time they raised hogs. Some west of Arkansas city, ks. and there are some at Elk City/Independence ks. area. I think they raise cattle and maybe hogs. Do you know them? Fine people .
Harvest quit here yesterday. Sun was covered and rained enough to be cool . it looked yesterday they might be able to cut,but we did not see any around here. Between Winfield and Arkansas city. Take care.Sharon June 1,2012

Actually when we moved to Oklahoma, we saw that there were Misener’s down here too, unfortunately we don’t know any Misener’s south of the Nebraska border. It is however, interesting to know there are lots of people out there with the same last name 😉
Glad to hear about your rain, maybe you could send some my way?! lol… Thanks for the comment!
