Posted at 13:45h, 20 AugustGrowing up in central North Dakota, our end of wheat harvest ritual was my Grandfather running a straw hat through the combine! (i don’t know where he got the idea from). This was followed by an ‘end of harvest supper’ where my entire family would go out for a nice steak.
I have very fond memories of North Dakota farm life. I’m employed in the Ag industry but truly miss farm life. Reading the blogs brings me back to the excitement and challenges of wheat harvest. Thanks to all the bloggers taking the time to share as I’m certain blogging was not at the top of the priority list for you!
